Hop-On, Hop-Off in Hallein
Jump on the bus and into the adventure! Starting April 1, 2024, the world-famous HOP ON HOP OFF buses will once again stop seven days a week in Hallein! The tour is called “Blue Line – Salt Worlds, Kehlsteinhaus & Historic Old Town of Hallein”.
It starts at Mirabellplatz in Salzburg and passes through Hellbrunn Palace and the valley station of the Untersberg cable car to Hallein. There you can hop on and off at two stops: at the Celtic Museum and on Perner Island. The HOP ON HOP OFF tour continues to the show mine on the Dürrnberg, to the Zinken lifts, and then to the Kehlsteinhaus and the Bavarian neighbors in Berchtesgaden. As usual with the popular HOP ON HOP OFF buses, an audio guide is provided during the tour, so you’ll have all the information you need.
The 2024 season starts on April 1 and runs until September 30.

Set out on a personal mountain adventure. After arriving at the top of the Dürrnberg, first gaze out over the panorama of Hallein and the Salzach River Valley, then let the excitement begin.
Regardless of the season, there is always lots to experience on the Dürrnberg. In summer, zoom back down to the valley on Salzburg’s longest Alpine slide, or treat yourself to a well-earned timeout at the Truckenthannalm, the Zinkenstüberl or Egglgut after a full day of hiking.
Enjoy a fantastic winter day spent skiing, ski touring or snowtubing at the Zinken Lifts, or learn the right way to carve at the Dürrnberg Ski School. Holidays are the perfect time for outdoor activities.
