It is quite rare to get closer to the mountains than you do here in Annaberg-Lungötz in SalzburgerLand. One peak on the Gosaukamm will immediately catch your eye: the famous Bischofsmütze (the “Bishop’s Miter”) with its striking form. Glorious Summer Holidays

Treat yourself to a bit of a timeout during your hikes courtesy of one of the numerous mountain huts in and around Annaberg-Lungötz. Over 300 marked hiking paths allow you to immerse yourself completely in the fascinating mountain world of Salzburg.

At the huts themselves, you will be treated to a delicious selection of homemade specialties – and in all likelihood, you will find a comfy place to sit on the “sun bench” right up against the wall of the hut itself. Be sure to sample some Almkäse, cheeses that are generally produced right there at the hut.

In autumn, you will want to attend our Harvest Festival celebrations, with numerous traditional events including the Lammertal HeuART-Fest.

The Winter Wonderland

Annaberg-Lungötz and its mountains are a true paradise in winter as well.

Paradise for alpine skiers and cross-country fans

142 kilometers of pistes and 65 lifts are certain to make your winter holiday an unforgettable experience. Meanwhile, 130 kilometers of beautifully maintained cross-country ski trails, including a floodlit trail after dark, promise all the Nordic enjoyment you could possibly wish for.

Away from the pistes and XC trails, how about taking a snowshoe hike through the fresh powder, marveling at the jaw-dropping scenery of the Tennengau mountain world as you go.
