The starting point for this tour is the entrance to the Salzachöfen on Pass Lueg just outside Golling near Salzburg. During your hike from here, you will learn all about how this unique Austrian natural monument was created. And at the end of the tour, you will be greeted by pure, nerve-tingling excitement: an 800 meters-long flight through a section of the gorge. Don’t really have a head for heights and prefer to explore nature on foot? Needless to say, you can also hike through this part of the gorge if you want.

The entire tour take around 1.5 to 2 hours. For an even bigger thrill, you might want to consider the Night Flight – experiencing that same zipline ride in almost complete darkness. The guided tour takes place in all weather, with the exception of heavy rain, wind or thunderstorms. Advance registration is required.

Arrival

You will find the Salzachöfen just outside Golling and almost directly on Pass Lueg. Leave your car parked at Gasthof “Pass Lueg”, from where it is just a few steps to the entrance and starting point for your expedition through the Salzachöfen. The hike to the entrance from the town center of Golling takes about one hour.
