Awaiting you on the Mill Path…
Always follow the hearts
As you explore the Mill Path, which is free for everyone to enjoy, you will also discover the Herzerlweg. This is a highlight for younger hikers in particular, the goal being to count as many of the small hearts located along the path as possible. I can definitely promise you one thing: Boredom is never an issue as you hike the Mill Path in Scheffau in the Tennengau.
From the Old Mill to the Torrential Waterfall
On this theme path in Lammertal, you will be able to experience the nature and water of Tennengau up close. Thanks to the Schwarzenbach, but also the mills. The first mill you encounter along the way is the historic Old Mill – a grain mill dating back to the 17th century. After a brief hiatus, it went back into operation in 1975, enchanting visitors on Sundays and public holidays as it clatters about its business. Directly next to the Old Mill is the authentic replica of a Marble Mill. From the trail, you can actually see the water pouring down from the stream. Your walk now continues to the Winner Waterfall, where the water thunders into the depths below. From a viewing point where you can gaze out at the imposing Tennengebirge, the family hike now leads back to where you started. You can either simply backtrack or return along the forestry road.
Please note: The Mill Path is suitable for prams/strollers until you reach the hill leading up to the waterfall.
