At 1450 meters above sea level, you will discover one of the top excursion destinations in Tennengau for kids: Bruno’s Mountain World. High up on the Hornspitz in Russbach, you will find a spacious nature playground, certain to amaze your children. But it isn’t just the numerous play attractions that you’ll like: The breathtaking panorama of Salzburg’s mountain world and the Dachstein massif is certain to put a gleam of joy in the eyes of absolutely everyone.

Stamp Rallye through the mountains

Bruno and Emma are passionate fans of stamp rallies and are always excited to welcome new players. Have you caught the stamp-rallye fever too? Then pick up your stamp booklet at the mountain station of the Hornbahn cable car in Russbach and off you go. Thanks to the many play and learning stations, exploring nature is especially fun here. And along the way, you will also discover lots of interesting facts about alpine animals and plants. Of couse, eager young explorers will be rewarded too. That’s why a surprise awaits all young participants at the end of the stamp rally. To enjoy the rally to the fullest, it is best to allow around one to two hours.

Ameisenexpress: the Slow Train at Hornspitz

Up here in Bruno’s Mountain World, summer hiking is a joy for eceryone. And with so many family-friendy hiking paths, that hardly comes as a surprise. Would you rather relax and enjoy nature while sitting down? Then hop aboard the “Ameisenexpress”. This scenic slow train takes the whole family past lush alpine meadows directly to the rustic Edtalmhütte and back again to the mountain station of the Hornbahn Russbach.

Playful hiking for the whole family

Whether at one of the playful learning stations, aboard the slow train “Ameisenexpress” or at the “Bergwasser”: games, fun and bear-sized adventures for the whole family are all part of the programme. Joining you along the way are Bruno,the bear, and Emma, the giant ant. Sunny panoramic loungers invite you to relax and take a break – and it’s not only parents and grandparents who enjoy putting their feet up here.

On a journey with Bruno

Right in the heart of this natural paradise, Bruno the Bear is waiting to be discovered. And he makes children’s eyes light up at least as much as I do, Cleverix. The big brown bear can usually be found in one of two places, either in the alpine flower garden, where he discovers fragrant herbs and flowers from the Alps together with the children, or in the Swing Forst, where the climbing tower and giant slide promise endless fun for young guests. Meanwhile, Emma the giant ant shares fascinating facts at the and mound about her little siblings – the real ants.

How to reach Bruno’s Mountain World

Bruno’s Mountain World is located directly at the mountain station of the Hornbahn cable car in Russbach.

Both, Bruno’s Mountain world and the participation in the stamp rallye are free of charge.

The ascent and descent with the Hornbahn cable car are especially aforrdable with your TennengauPLUS-Card: during the summer months, children enjoy one free return trip either on the Hornbahn Russbach or on the Donnerkogelbahn in Annaberg-Lungötz, when accopmanied by an adult.

Tip: Bus No. 470 takes you directly to the valley station of the Hornbahn. With your Guest Mobility Ticket, you can travel free of charge with all public transport in SalzburgerLand. Bruno’s Mountain world is open on operating days of the Hornbahn Russbach.
