Summer in Abtenau – immerse yourself in an unforgettable water-park experience

In the mood for a refreshing dip? Summers in Austria can turn quite hot. It’s then, especially, that diving into the cool water can work wonders – an experience taken to an even higher level courtesy of the Tennengau mountain world, which serves as the astonishing backdrop for your bathing enjoyment. Located close to Salzburg City, Altenmarkt as well as the Dachstein West area, the Abtenau Water Park is a fantastic excursion destination for the whole family.

One aquatic attraction after another! The kids’ play zone is one of the most beautiful in all of Tennengau. 80 square meters of water surface, an elephant slide, air bubbles coming from the bottom of the pool, and water that’s only ten centimeters deep, also make this the ideal place for the tiny tots to have their first encounters with water. And to protect their delicate young skin, an awning provides additional protection from the midday heat.

This popular water park for the whole family is nestled in the idyllic Abtenau in Tennengau. You’ll find parking spaces directly in front of the water park as well as about 100 meters away. If it gets particularly busy, you can also park at the sports grounds in Abtenau. Traveling by public transport? Thanks to the Guest Mobility Ticket, your ride is free of charge.
