Pilgrimages in SalzburgerLand
During your pilgrimage, either alone or as part of a group, hike to some of the most beautiful places in the Tennengau. The two most famous pilgrimage destinations and churches in Tennengau are the Pilgrimage Church of Maria Dürrnberg in Hallein and the Pilgrimage Church in Sankt Jakob am Thurn in Puch.

Arnoweg
Follow the footsteps of Salzburg’s church history and embark on a 1.200 kilometre long circular hiking trail in SalzburgerLand. On the numerous stages you will encounter innumberable scenic and historical highlights in the Tennengau region. Jakobsweg
The pilgrim way of St. James in Salzburg takes you in 4 stages over almost 100 kilometers from Frankenmarkt in Upper Austria to the Pass Strub on the border with Tyrol. Trained pilgrimage companions offer guided individual pilgrimages. In the Tennengau region you can find an approach route from St. Jakob am Thurn in Puch. Leonhardsweg
Join in when in July a guided pilgrimage leads you from Salzburg Cathedral to Tamsweg or embark yourself on a private pilgrimage. The Leonhardsweg will take you in 5 to 6 days on 130 kilometres through SalzburgerLand, always heading to the final destination of the Church of St. Leonhard in Tamsweg. www.leonhardsweg.at
St. Rupert Pilgerweg
The St. Rupert pilgrimage trail takes you around 110 kilometres form St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee through Tennengau region to Bischofshofen. The hike across Lammertal will take around 5-6 days. At the end of the pilgrimage you can see the Rupertus Cross in the Church of Buchberg in Bischofshofen, the largest still preserved metal cross from the first christian millenium. www.pilgerwege.at
