The fun and adventure begin the moment you step into the gondola at the valley station of the Karkogel lifts. Once at the top, you will truly be able to enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama of Salzburg, before beginning your ride down the mountain.

After a few brief instructions from well-trained employees, let the thrills begin! Sitting on small yellow sleds, you will now be able to zoom down the almost two kilometers-long track to the bottom of the mountain. Through fast curves, exhilarating straightaways and tunnels. Reaching speeds as much as 30 kilometers per hour.

Fastening the safety belt is also a must before every ride – for adults as well as children. An inbuilt centrifugal brake further ensures a very safe ride for youngsters and grown-ups. Speeds exceeding 30 kilometers per hour are automatically restricted.

You will find the Alpine Slide right next to the mountain station of the Karkogel lifts in Abtenau, close to the town center. While you are enjoying all kinds of adventures with your children, we suggest leaving your car on the car park next to the lift valley station.
