Extended hiking paths from St. Koloman lead you to places of virtually pristine natural beauty. Traditional mountain huts invite you to take a break and enjoy a selection of regional Salzburg specialties. Or indulge yourself completely in the Taugler Körberl.

And in winter? As soon as the first snow begins to fall, visitors to St. Koloman are once again drawn out into nature: for cross-country skiing or ski touring, or simply to marvel at the snow-covered natural beauty.

Experience Summer

The Bergalmen in the Osterhorn Group is especially popular with families. One of the most famous excursion destinations close to St. Koloman is the Seewaldsee. The Seewaldsee is a moorland lake located inside a nature sanctuary, a great place to discover much-needed peace and relaxation. A drive to the top of the Trattberg promises magnificent panoramas of the surrounding peaks, as do the countless hiking paths at these higher elevations.

But if you prefer your hiking paths to be down in the valley, you might well be intrigued by the Stations of the Cross Path. The 14 stations also feature texts written in local dialect by Prof. August Rettenbacher.

For those who wish to conquer the mountains by bicycle. St. Koloman is an ideal stating point. The Trattberg and Bergalm await you with countless mountain bike trails.
