Kuchl is centrally located in Salzburger Land – only 20 km from the city of Mozart, Salzburg. The village of Kuchl is nestled in the Salzach River Valley at 468 meters above sea level, picturesquely framed by three different mountain formations.

To the south, the valley basin is flanked by the Tennengebirge, in the east by the Osterhorn Group, and in the west by the mighty Göll Massif, including its main peak, the Hoher Göll.

Kuchl for Active Holidaymakers

Swimming in the Bürgerausee, a Kneipp pool, over 100 marked paths for hiking and walking, two beach-volleyball courts, four tennis courts, a skater park, a calisthenics fitness course, running trails, climbing, river surfing, fishing and angling and two riding stables.

Event Tip: Kuchl hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Traditional tent festivals, art & culture, rock concerts, sporting competitions, Harvest Festival celebrations, concerts by the Kuchl Town Band all summer long, as well as peaceful Advent markets during the Christmas season.
