Wintertime activities in and around Lammerklamm Gorge
Scheffau has a lot to offer, and not only in summer. In winter, too, Lammertal is a true holiday paradise at the foot of the Tennengebirge. Whether with family or friends: If you love hiking through snowy winter countryside, zooming down the mountain on skis, or gliding elegantly along cross-country ski trails, then Scheffau is certain to be perfect for you.
Family-friendly ski lift in Scheffau
Located in the heart of Scheffau is the small-yet-charming ski area next to Gasthof Bachrain, in the Moosegg section of town, including a tow lift and a children’s lift. Here, skiers big and small can tackle the pistes to their hearts’ content. For more extensive skiing experiences, we suggest the ski areas of Ski Amadé and Dachstein-West, which are only about a 30-minute drive away.
Cross-country skiing in Moosegg
Glide on two skis through the magical winter landscapes. Feel the winter chill on your cheeks, breathe the fresh mountain air, and listen to the sounds of nature. The beautifully tracked cross-country trail takes you on a three-kilometer expedition through the Scheffau countryside.
