Bathing Enjoyment on the Harrbergsee
The Harrbergsee Recreation Area promises a fun outing for families with children. This swimming lake is surrounded by broad green areas, lies at the foot of Tennengau's imposing mountain landscapes, and invites young and old to enjoy sports, games and all kinds of good fun. Lob a few bocce balls, play some beach volleyball, let your kids have a great time on the playground, and cool off in the refreshing water of the Harrbergsee itself.
Hiking or cycling? Both are possible on this path!
Pull on your hiking boots or hop onto the saddle of your bicycle: The 6.5 km-long Bike & Hiking Path leads you from Golling alongside the Lammer River to Oberscheffau. As you make your way through the pristine nature of Lammertal Valley, our mountain world will be constantly before your eyes. Not without reason has this path been described as one of the most beautiful in Salzburger Land. The Scheffau Bike & Hiking Path also takes you past Harrbergsee Recreation Area as well as St. Ulrich’s Church.
Sacred splendor of St. Ulrich’s Church in Scheffau
Surrounded by a picturesque mountain world, late-Gothic St. Ulrich’s church reaches into the sky. From the outside, the church actually appears quite simple, with its architectural treasures only becoming evident once you step inside. A broad stellar-vaulted ceiling, the wooden pulpit, valuable late-Gothic features and the powerful color accents added by red Adnet marble give this church an absolutely magnificent atmosphere. And thanks to a generous donation by a couple from Scheffau, since 2010 the heavenly sounds of the organ again sound out inside Scheffau’s St. Ulrich’s Church.
