Fast jeder Abtenauer ist Mitglied in mindestens einem Verein. Gemeinsam wird organisiert, gewerkelt, gefeiert, musiziert und angepackt. Dieses starke Miteinander geh\u00f6rt einfach zum Leben dazu in Abtenau.<\/p>\n<p>Neben dem Sport spielt vor allem die Musik eine besondere Rolle. Mehrere Ch\u00f6re und zahlreiche Volksmusikgruppen und Bands sorgen das ganze Jahr \u00fcber f\u00fcr musikalische Vielfalt. Besonders sichtbar ist jedoch die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmk-abtenau.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Trachtenmusikkapelle Abtenau<\/strong><\/a>, die seit beinahe zwei Jahrhunderten das Ortsbild und das kulturelle Leben pr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n<p>Ob Fronleichnam, Erntedank, Maibaumaufstellen, Konzerte am Marktplatz, kirchliche Feste oder festliche Umz\u00fcge &#8211; kaum eine Veranstaltung findet ohne die Musiker der TMK statt. Geschichte der Trachtenmusikkapelle reicht bis ins Jahr 1842 zur\u00fcck. Damals versammelten sich musikbegeisterte M\u00e4nner rund um Philipp und Franz Gsenger zur sogenannten <strong>&#8220;Holzmusi&#8221;<\/strong>. Gespielt wurde zun\u00e4chst ausschlie\u00dflich auf Holzblasinstrumenten, erst gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts kamen Blechinstrumente dazu.<\/p>\n<p>Aus der kleinen Musikgruppe wurde im Laufe der Jahrzehnte ein leistungsstarker Klangk\u00f6rper. W\u00e4hrend 1986 rund 30 Musiker aktiv waren, z\u00e4hlt die TMK heute \u00fcber 90 aktive Mitglieder und begeistert mit einem breit gef\u00e4cherten Repertoire &#8211; von traditioneller Blasmusik bis hin zu modernen Konzertst\u00fccken.<\/p>\n<p>Dass Tradition dabei keineswegs Stillstand bedeutet, bringt Hans, mit 78 Jahren einer der erfahrensten Musiker, treffend auf den Punkt: &#8220;Obwohl eine Musikkapelle im Grunde eine sehr traditionsbewusste Institution ist, reagiert sie durch neue Kompositionen und musikalische Entwicklungen immer wieder auf gesellschaftliche Ver\u00e4nderungen. Gerade diese Verbindung von Bewahren und Weiterentwickeln macht f\u00fcr mich den besonderen Reiz in der Blasmusik aus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" die Trachtenmusikkapelle Abtenau besonders auszeichnet, zeigt ein Blick auf ihre Mitglieder: hier musizieren Menschen, zwischen deren ersten Auftritten mehr als sechs Jahrzehnte liegen.<\/p>\n<p>Hans (78) stand bereits am 1. November 1962 erstmals mit der Kapelle aus seinem Heimatort Rettenegg auf der B\u00fchne. Als er 1971 nach Abtenau \u00fcbersiedelte, setzte er seine musikalische T\u00e4tigkeit am Fl\u00fcgelhorn nahtlos bei der TMK fort. Seine Begeisterung f\u00fcr Musik begann schon in der Kindheit &#8211; mit Volksliedern zu Hause, Musik bei Hochzeiten und einer Steirischen Harmonika, die er mit zw\u00f6lf Jahren zu Weihnachten bekam. &#8220;Und so dudle ich seit 65 Jahren durch die Gegend&#8221;, erz\u00e4hlt er heute augenzwinkernd.<\/p>\n<p>Am anderen Ende der Generationen steht Lorenz (13). Er ist seit 2025 Mitglied der TMK und wurde von seinen Cousins dazu motiviert, ein Instrument zu lernen. Was die Musikkapelle f\u00fcr ihn bedeutet, bringt er unkompliziert auf den Punkt: Freude am Musizieren und Beisammensein.<\/p>\n<p>Dazwischen liegen ganz unterschiedliche musikalische Lebensgeschichten. Hannes (55) ist seit 1984 dabei, Barbara (51) seit 1989 und Andrea (46) seit mehr als drei Jahrzehnten. Julia (32) hatte schon als Siebenj\u00e4hrige beim Querfl\u00f6tenunterricht ein gro\u00dfes Ziel vor Augen: irgendwann selbst in den Reihen der Trachtenmusikkapelle Abtenau zu stehen. unter anderem an einen Auftritt am Heldenplatz in Wien und an zwei Reisen in die USA.
