Silent Night - Christmas

Christmas is a family celebration, which is why the Tennengau doesn't hold any big events at that time. December 24th seems to go on forever, at least in the eyes of children.  Make it seem a little bit shorter with a morning tour of the salt mine, or perhaps by visiting an exhibition of Nativity scenes. In the afternoon, almost all communities hold special children's services.

After opening presents (which we do here on Christmas Eve), it's time for a late-night mass at 10:00 p.m. and Christmas fanfares. Dates and further details are available from the local tourist offices.
