Rosary Path
from Puch to St. Jakob am Thurn

The 5 new trail markers are made of granite and are decorated with the 5 "secrets" of the joyous rosary, the central theme of which is the birth and childhood of Jesus.  Painted on metal plate, they were created by Elisabeth Traxl from Grünbach bei Freistadt in the Mühlviertel region.

Vollererhofstrasse bus stop (No. 160) or the Urstein stop on the S-Bahn commuter rail system, car park in the center of Puch. Then make your way up the Vollererhofstrasse to Elektro Klose, where you will turn left into a small street and soon see the 1st station on the left-hand side. We then continue down a gravel road to the 2nd station, then uphill once more to the 3rd. From this point, the trail follows the Sillerweg. We once again make our way steeply uphill, then make a left down a small hiking path into the forest to the 4th station. After this, we leave the forest again and turn left onto a paved road. Shortly thereafter, on the right-hand side, the 5th station is visible.  The trail now continues straight to the small pilgrimage community of St. Jakob. Here you can enjoy refreshments at the Schützen-wirt (also open during the daytime on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise does not open until 5 p.m.), while the kids can play on the public playground. After circling the lake, we begin our descent via the same route to Puch, or drop down to the bus stop in Haslach.

Walk time up to St. Jakob's church: 1½ hours.
Clearly marked incl. rosary plaques.
